HOW TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE AS A BROKE COLLEGE STUDENT | Easy side hustles for college students

Hello and welcome back to my channel! My
name is Tatiana and I want you to join me in my laptop lifestyle journey. So
today I wanted to keep this video short and simple, so I gathered five of my
favorite methods to making money. Now these are things to do on the side, so
odds are you're not going to be able to make a living off of them, at least not
right away. Now I personally have not tried any of these methods out, BUT I
have done a lot of research into them and there are a few methods that I
actually would really like to try one day. So with that being said, let's get
straight into method number one. So the first method to making money is to
become a podcast agent. Now I talked about this in one of my other videos.
I'll make sure to link that up here, but basically you're serving as the
middleman.

You're going to connect an expert on a certain topic with someone
who actually hosts a podcast and invites other people onto their show. In order to
do this, you're going to go online and you're going to search for online seminars.
In other words, look up online yoga seminars, online fitness seminars and go
to their list of speakers. Here you can choose any of the speakers and this is
going to help you in two ways. By looking at the speakers, you can figure out who are
these experts on your topics, who are your possible clients. But alternatively,
you can also use their names to search it up in iTunes and find what podcasts
they've actually been on. Now you'll have a whole list of podcasters in that niche
that accept guests onto their show. So now you can reach out to these
podcasters and connect your client with a podcast. At the beginning you can book
your clients for a show free of charge or at a discounted rate, but make sure
you have that second booking already lined up, so that when they're happy with
the service of the first show, they'll come back to you and they will be more
likely to pay your fee now because you already have that booking lined up.

So
that's the first method and that's just called being a podcast agent. So the
second method of making money is to get into the Kindle e-publishing business.
Now this sounds a lot more intimidating then it actually is. All you have to do
is write about 25 pages or more worth of a story. Now the great thing is you don't
have to be a great writer for this. In fact, you can outsource this writing
and find yourself a ghostwriter. All you have to do is create a job listing on
upwork.com or fiverr.com and find yourself that ghost writer. You're just
going to tell them the topic you want your book to be on, which can either be
nonfiction or fiction, as well as examples of what you want them to model
your book off of.

The best part is that you retain the rights to these books. Now
the trick to finding a ghostwriter is to find one that you like so you can
create a long term relationship with. They're going to help you write multiple
books that you can release under a certain pen name on Amazon. Now I have
done a lot of research and there's this one course that I specifically seem to
be very intrigued by.

I joined their Facebook group and a lot of people seem
to get results from this course. And in it, they suggest that you write a book
series as I mentioned, but at the end of each book they suggest that you end it
in a cliffhanger so that people are more likely to buy the next book in the
series. Another thing is when you do release that first book, make sure you
start creating an email list right away so that you can start creating a
connection with your audience. You can also notify them when the next book is
released. Now this is a great way to make some passive income and it's something I
certainly want to try in the future. So this third method for making money from
home is basically for anyone who is a fast typer.
Now yes this is transcribing.

So the way transcribing works is you actually get
paid a couple cents per minute of audio that you're transcribing. So if you add
it up, an hour's worth of audio can turn into about ten to thirty dollars an
hour. So yeah it's not a lot, but it's still super helpful and something that
doesn't require a lot of pressure, just something you can do with an hour or two
of your free time. The only thing is this is only going to be helpful if you
already are a fast typer.

Otherwise it's not really worth your time because
websites like gotranscribing.com or rev.com are going to ask you to take a
typing test just to see how efficient you are and also how accurate you are in
your typing. This is going to help you get more jobs if you are better at it.
Now I know there are many youtubers out there that actually use these services
in order to get subtitles on their videos so there's definitely a demand
for it. So the fourth method to making money
from the comfort of your own home is to actually go in to proofreading.
Now proofreading is different than editing because proofreading focuses
solely on grammatical errors, punctuation errors and spelling errors. So in order
to do this you have to be good at English and be able to take a
proofreading skills test. If you're going to offer your services on a website like
upwork.com, it's recommended that you take the U.S. english proofreading
skills test (Chicago). It's absolutely free and it's going to help you
stand out. Not only that, but if you do well you can publish your results on
your public profile and this is going to allow you to charge more and also to get
more professional clients.

So definitely check that out. Now another thing you can
do if you don't want to freelance is to work for an actual company like
Kibin, I think that's how you pronounce it or proofreadingservices.com.
Obviously there's so many others but you're basically just looking maybe
through legal documents, through books, through advertisements. My point is
there's a lot of demand for this market so you can probably find work in it. I'll
make sure to add a couple links in the description box so you can read more
into proofreading. So now this last method, again, is for those who like to
write. But basically you can write other people's articles or blog posts. So you
can offer these services on a website like fiverr.com, I've probably mentioned it
like 50,000 times in this video. And you can charge anywhere from $5 to $200 per article. Now
obviously you want to start off on the lower end just because you're going to get
more clients this way, but over time, as you become more experienced, you can slowly start increasing your prices. Not only that, but you can also charge
them extra for supplying them with stock photos.

So if you're good at photography
you can actually sell your own photos to be included in these people's articles
or blogs that you're writing. So that's extra money that you can make. The reason
there's a demand for this is because time is money. So they have other things
that they would rather spend their time on. Therefore they will pay people to
actually write their blog post or their article posts. Not only that but also
repurposing content is a great way to expand your brand to reach a greater
audience, so people will pay others to repurpose their videos, in other words to
turn their videos into a blog post, to turn their podcast into a blog post, and
so on.

Now the last thing, if you want to come off as being more professional and
start increasing your prices a bit faster is to niche down on a
certain topic. If you become, let's say, a lifestyle blogger or if you become a
fashion blogger and this is your area of expertise, then people who are
looking for someone to write an article in that sector are more likely to hire
you as opposed to someone who just writes blogs on any topic because you
are more experienced and you know more about that one specific topic, which, odds
are, are going to result in a higher quality blog post.

So there you have it! Those are
my five methods for making money regardless if you're a teen, a college
student or a working adult. This can be done by any of you. So let me know in the
comments below if you've actually tried any of these methods before or which one
you're wanting to try. As I said in the video, I will post a couple of resources
in my description box, but I do encourage you to do your own research to find what
method works best for you. If you liked this video make sure to give it a thumbs
up and subscribe to my channel. I really do appreciate it, and don't forget to hit
that notification bell! Alright well thank you so much for tuning in and I hope to see
